Flooding and a small earthquake caused ground failure in front of this Whakatane residents home. Cracking was evident in the house walls, and slumping in the lawn. 36 x 12 meter soil nails were installed to stabilize the ground under the house. Matting and mesh was placed on the slope and connected to the soil nail heads, to stop further erosion. Soil Nails: 36 x RB32G, 12 metres long.
